YMCA Heart of England and 2 Much Passion CIC, a non-profit organisation dedicated to using food as an outlet to bring people and communities together, are proud to announce the success of their recent End of Summer Fundraiser Dinner, held on Friday, September 13th at the Chris Bryant Centre, in Erdington.
The event raised an impressive £1647 to support Heart of England’s Sanitary Bank and Residents Activities, and 2MuchPassion’s purchase of a new coffee machine for their community café.
The event brought together more than 40 guests, including Heart of England’s trustees and staff, members of the local business community, and Erdington residents, who enjoyed a night of live entertainment, gourmet Caribbean dining, table games and speeches from the CEOs of both companies. The atmosphere was electric with generosity, and all proceeds will directly benefit YMCA’s residents and the local Erdington Community.
Throughout the evening, guests were treated to welcome drinks, live cooking in a Caribbean Jerk Pan, a photo booth to take home a souvenir of their evening, table games and live music and a lively auction and raffle.
Music and Hosting were provided by musician and fundraiser Darren Sims, Pride of Britain 2017 Fundraiser Winner, who raised more than £1.4M for charities over his career. The amazing auction and raffle prizes were donated by local businesses and sponsors, and helped both charities raise more than £1600, which far exceeded expectations, thanks to the overwhelming support of the community.
“We are so proud to have been able to work in partnership with 2Much Passion to execute a fantastic fundraising evening” said Pauline Tomlinson, CEO of YMCA Heart of England, “We are confident that this is the first of many to come raising funds to benefit our residents and local community. We are certainly blessed to have individuals that often volunteer to support our efforts and such generous givers to enable a wonderful evening a huge success in term of partnerships and fundraising. Thank you to all those involved in making the evening such a successful one!”
