Location: Northfield (B31 2DL)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: £19,555.43 per annum. (salary under review)

We are recruiting for Scheme Officer to join our team on a full time, permanent contract. You will be based predominantly in Northfield.

You will be required to effectively access and implement a programme of support within the Supporting People framework. You will be required to undertake a variety of tasks ranging from assisting in the processing and assessment of applications to be housed at the scheme to void checks. It will also involve supporting the team to deliver a high-quality rent collection and arrears recovery service, whilst ensuring accurate records are kept on each tenant using our internal Housing Management System. You will need the ability to handle resident issues, such as anti-social behaviour.

To excel in this role, you will need experience in housing management or supported housing and income management or debt recovery/collection (preferably in a social housing environment), and a working knowledge of housing issues and legislation, particularly pertaining to homelessness. You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, question and influence when needed.
