Birmingham based recruitment company, Boden Group, has chosen to support youth charity, YMCA Heart of England, as its official charity partner.
Boden Group, whose employees have previously raised money for St Basil’s, SIFA Fireside, and Land Aid, have chosen to continue their support for homelessness, choosing the youth charity for their focus on giving young people a second chance.
YMCA Heart of England works with young people, providing a range of support including accommodation for young people in need, mental health, training and education, and youth groups.
Boden Group will support YMCA Heart of England by taking part in a range of fundraising initiatives, including the YMCA’s annual Sleep Easy – spending a night sleeping rough, the three peaks challenge, and a 5 million steps challenge. Employees, who receive 4 paid volunteering days each year, will also have the opportunity to do grounds maintenance, hold CV writing workshops, and distribute Christmas presents to residents.
Pauline Tomlinson, CEO of YMCA Heart of England said about the announcement, “We are delighted that Boden Group have chosen us as their fundraising partner for this next year and look forward to working with them.
“We hope that by working together with Boden Group we will demonstrate the impact that partnerships can have for both parties. All of the funds raised will help us to support even more vulnerable young people with vital services ensuring that they can live life in all its fullness.”
James Fitzpatrick, Boden Group Managing Director, said: “YMCA Heart of England felt like a natural choice for us – for starters, they’re all about helping to inspire young people to reach their potential, and as a business that’s exactly what we’re trying to do with our own people.
They provide a huge range of services to young people across Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry and Warwickshire – meaning we’ll have an opportunity to give back to the communities that have supported and nurtured us and our team members.
And as a recruitment company, working with an organisation helping young people to find their feet feels like a great fit.
We’re really looking forward to exploring all the different ways we can fundraise, volunteer, and raise awareness for this incredible organisation, which helps hundreds of young people every year.”
